In the beginning

The Secret Drawer does not believe in stock answers or ‘one size fits all’ solutions. We like to know our clients well, what they want, what they are trying to achieve and why they want it. We listen and then ask questions before committing to concepts and possibilities.

In our showrooms we are able to offer consultancy advice on all aspects of home furnishings from fabrics, wall coverings and paint, to kitchen design, flooring and upholstery. For colour consultancies and interior design solutions we are able to meet you in your home.

Lovingly crafted

Each design for a Secret Drawer project is truly unique and Richard Mason prides himself on doing all his drawings by hand in pencil in preference to CAD. “It’s very rare these days,” he explains “and yet our customers really appreciate it. It reflects the individuality of both the customer’s project and our business”.

Each craftsman at the Secret Drawer looks after every aspect of his own project. It means they develop a genuine feel for their work and - like any artist - take  pride in the final product. Every piece of furniture is crafted from unplanned wood with its bark intact and we carefully work with its natural grain to produce a truly unique piece of furniture just for you.

All our furniture is crafted in our Skipton workshop and you are welcome to visit us to watch your furniture come to life from the raw material to the beautifully finished product.

Personal fitting

From initial inspiration to final installation we aim to give you full confidence in our work and ensure that the final fitting of your furniture runs as smoothly as possible. We supply you with a complete schedule of work and provide you with a professional team to execute the project in its entirety including; builders, plumbers, electricians, painters, decorators and interior designers. Where necessary we even provide you with a temporary kitchen to ensure that the work has minimal impact on your day-to-day life.

Finishing Touch

Every property, space and home has a personality that should reflect the way it’s meant to be lived in and our dedicated Interior Designer is committed to ensuring that this is communicated through a stylish blend of colour, light, form, shape and texture.

Make the most of your space and new bespoke furniture by complementing it with a specially created design scheme including paint colours, wall coverings, flooring, lighting, soft furnishings and accessories. Liven up windows with exquisite curtains made just for you; transform dull walls with fine pieces of unique art or cabinet tops with decorative objects, and ensure that your lighting and audio solutions meet your requirements. Caring for your furniture

We are KBSA approved providing you with a guaranteed deposit and a six year warranty. With our handover packs, care notes, twelve month check up and after sales service you can enjoy your new space with complete peace of mind.

At The Secret Drawer we ensure that you have everything you need to care for your new furniture and are on hand to answer any questions that you may have following completion of a project, or for future matters.
