In the world of mass production the classic,
traditional methods of cabinet making are dying
out. The Secret Drawer takes pride in the craftsmanship
displayed in our kitchen and bedroom interiors and
company founder Richard Mason is passionate about
keeping these skills alive. We are, for example,
are one of the few companies remaining that insist
on cutting their dovetails by hand. Clients are
also interested to learn that each kitchen, bedroom
or commissioned piece of furniture is made from
start to finish by a single craftsman. By the time
of delivery, he will have invested around six weeks
of his time and skills in the creation of the commissioned
work.
So proud are we of our work that we even invite
our clients along to the workshop to see the progress
of their furniture. A visitor will also see that
all our wood is bought in its raw and natural state
(with bark intact!) prior to one of our team of
experienced craftsmen tailoring it to the individual
needs of the client.
This hand-crafted approach, combined with superb
materials and a meticulous attention to detail,
ensures your dream interior is not only unique but
also full of character, tradition and quality.
